For thirty years Don Sjaarda has aggressively represented the interests of California plaintiffs in personal injury trials, arbitrations and settlement negotiations.* He is licensed to practice before all of the courts of the State of California and in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

He was born and raised in California, graduating from Anaheim High School in 1969. In 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a Signal Corps sergeant in Berlin, Germany. Afterwards, he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he was elected to Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree cum laude in December 1974. Returning to California, he attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. He graduated in December 1978 with a Juris Doctor Degree. Prior to becoming an attorney, Don Sjaarda was employed and trained as a bodily injury claims adjuster at Kemper Insurance.
